Greetings, my name is Dan Thompson, I’m 23 (at the time of writing!) and I live on a farm in the North of England.
I started my very first online venture back in 1998 when I was 13. I created a website using just HTML code and used it to sell old wrestling videos (WWF, WCW, etc.) to friends and schoolmates. I continued with this venture up until the age of 16, when it was time to “get serious” and go to college where I would study for an AVCE, and an HND in Business Information Technology.
Fast forward 4 years to the end of college and it was time to get a “real” job. In the summer of 2005, my job hunting wasn’t going to plan. All of the jobs that would meet my criteria were either in Leeds or Manchester, which would mean a 2 hour commute each day. Being a country boy this was about as appealing to me as…..a poke in the eye with a sharp stick! (I lose 1 point for using the phrase twice on the same page)
So I started to do what I think pretty much all of you must have done at some point, I started looking for opportunities to start an online business. I stumbled across a very popular “Your Own eBook Business” on eBay, created by the then unknown John Thornhill. I purchased the package and the rest is history as they say! (Click here for a $100 discount!)
Since those humble beginnings I now run over 25 websites catering to both online, and offline clients. I have a couple of my own software products on sale (one of which you now own!), and I run a very successful web hosting company with my business partner that is responsible for hosting over 1,000 domain names for clients from across the globe.
Then finally, there’s the thing you are (hopefully!) reading now, my blog.
It has been up and running for over 2 years now, and because I have many other irons in the fire, I don’t need to use my mailing list/blog as a “pitch machine”. So you WON’T be receiving an email from me every other day plugging the latest and greatest product, infact I do sometimes go months at a time without pitching a product.
I prefer to send out a mailing every week or two that contains a link to my latest blog posting. These posts usually contain useful “How To Guides” or my thoughts on random Internet Marketing topics. Everything is very light hearted and I have my own little community of readers that comment on the posts and share ideas and views on the subjects.
If you want to check out the latest blog post, and join the community of commentors you can check out the home page here:
And I think that brings to an end this introduction post. I hope you enjoyed reading it, and fingers crossed you’ll become a keen reader, and commentor on the blog.
I do strongly recommend you enter your name and email address in the form to your right, this means you’ll be updated via email as soon as a new post is made!
P.S. If you have any questions about this email, or the Boomerang List Builder. Feel free to get in touch with me via the helpdesk:
You can also email me, but I do seem to get more Viagra emails than Hugh Hefner so it’s probably best to use the helpdesk!
