Hi Joe,

You can edit PHP pages just like you would HTML. I create just about all of my sites as PHP now, it's exactly the same as HTML but lets you use dynamic content.

If you open up your file in notepad you will be able to see that the code should look familiar!

I'm afraid to say putting the filename in quotes is a load of rubbish as well, you can save a page as .php in notepad simply by naming it whatever.php and choosing "All files" from the save as type drop down box.

Thanks,
Dan

Hi

I have purchased a website on ebay. Seller said it was in html which I can change in Front Page. But it actually is in .php.

http://www.NewWeddingStuff.com

What program do I use to view the website and make changes to it.
I tried Frontpage but it didnt work.

Thanks

I got another tip off another fourm about saving .php files.

If using note pad you need to put the file in quotes before
saving. it.

      "weddingplanner.php"

thanks for your blog.

I will be buying your program next week.

Hi Dave,
If you link to the sub-domain then it will get spidered with the rest of your site.

If however you are using an addon domain and link to the full url (www.yoursite.com) the spiders will see it as a seperate site, not a sub-domain.

Hi Dan,

In cpanel if I add another domain, it adds it as a subdomain to my existing domain. Does this mean that it gets spidered along with the original, or will search engines know to keep it separate?

Thanks,
Dave.

Hi Lorna,

Do you mean an address that includes your own domain, like:

you@yoursite.com?

I need to build a "Login" page, as part of my website must be available only to registered users. How do I do that.
